160817-N-NF288-163 TOKYO BAY (Aug. 17, 2016) Quartermaster 2nd Class (SW/AW/IW) Jakorre Jackson, from Miami, lowers a cylinder aboard the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), as the ship gets underway for Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) testing. The cylinders indicate to nearby vessels that the ship is large with a wide-turning radius. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
