Overview of the Western Extension of Route Crimson on August 4, 2016 at Cincu Training Range in Romania during Operation Resolute Castle 16. Route Crimson has been a work in progress since Resolute Castle 15. The Western Extension is an addition to Route Crimson that will further expand the range road that will eventually connect the training range in its entirety. The extension broke ground during Rotation 1 in May 2016 and will be a continuous horizontal engineer project until the end of Resolute Castle 16 in September. The main surface area of Route Crimson and the Western Extension is expected to be complete by the end of Resolute Castle 17. Cincu Training Range is the fundamental area of operation in Romania for RC 16. Cincu priorities of work include both horizontal and vertical construction improvements. Additional military training covered military police and special operations tasks Engineer units from the 877th Engineer Battalion and units from the 231st Military Police Battalion, Alabama Army National Guard, partnered with units from the 10th Engineer Brigade, Romanian Land Forces, at Cincu, Romania from April until September 2016.
