On August 4, 2016, Alabama Army National Guard engineers from the 168th Engineer Company, the 77th Quarry Engineer Detachment and the 1301st Engineer Detachment have been working with engineers from the 10th Engineer Brigade, Romanian Land Forces to complete vertical engineer projects at the Urban Operations Range at Cincu Training Range during Resolute Castle 16, Rotation 5. Urban Operations site projects include one multi-purpose shelter and one multi-purpose ops storage building. Upon completion, both buildings will be fully operational and installed with lightning protection systems. Cincu Training Range is the fundamental area of operation in Romania for RC 16. Cincu priorities of work include both horizontal and vertical construction improvements. Additional military training covered military police and special operations tasks. Engineer units from the 877th Engineer Battalion and units from the 231st Military Police Battalion, Alabama Army National Guard, partnered with units from the 10th Engineer Brigade, Romanian Land Forces, at Cincu, Romania from April until September 2016.
