ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 19, 2016) Fireman Nikolas Martin, from Joplin, Mo., converts a light fixture to use energy-efficient LED bulbs in a passageway aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike) as part of the ship’s Great Green Fleet initiative. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
