HOPE HULL, Ala. (Sept. 17, 2016) -- Maj. Gen. Charles Lynn Gable, the Assistant Adjutant General of the Alabama Army National Guard, addresses all who are present for the 122nd Troop Command, Alabama Army National Guard, change of command ceremony at Army Aviation Support Facility #1, Fort R. W. Shepherd Armory, here, today.
Col. Zachary E. Maner, who currently lives in Mobile, Ala., is the outgoing commander of the 122nd Troop Command, Alabama Army National Guard. Col. Roger A. Presley, Jr., who resides in Florence, Ala., is the incoming commander of that unit. Maner now begins his next assignment as the Chief of Staff for the 135th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Alabama Army National Guard.
Attending the event were more than 150 service members from within the 122nd, select members of the Alabama Army National Guard leadership and guests that included families and friends of service members participating in the ceremony. The 122nd has command and control of all of the aviation units in the Alabama Army National Guard.
