Marines attending Corporals Course were given opportunities to look at displays of artifacts, such as this pickaxe and an artist rendering of Japanese Naval personnel digging a tunnel, in Okinawa, Japan, September 20, 2016. Corporals Course has recently implemented a battle sites tour to provide Marines the opportunity to see the history that was made before them. The Corporals Course is mandatory for all corporals to attend in order to be promoted to the next rank. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Nelson Duenas/Released)
