160908-M-GM943-027 AT SEA, Pacific Ocean (September 8, 2016) – An AH-1Z Super Cobra provides security from simulated unidentified vessels for the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group during a defense of the amphibious taskforce drill conducted off the coast of San Clemente Island, California, Sept. 8, 2016. As part of the DATF exercise, the MKI ARG/11th Marine Expeditionary Unit assumed a security posture, to simulate travelling through potentially dangerous waters as they may do on deployment.
