Lance Cpl. Alex M. Macugay, a military policeman with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, fires an M2 .50-caliber machine gun from the starboard side of the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) in the Pacific Ocean, Sept. 24, 2016. Marines and Sailors with CLB-31 provide logistical support to the major subordinate elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and are permanently forward-deployed to Okinawa, Japan. The 31st MEU is embarked aboard the U.S. Naval ships of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group.
