Bonhomme Richard is in Subic Bay to pick up 31st MEU personnel and equipment following Philippine Amphibious Landing Exercise (PHIBLEX) 33. PHIBLEX 33 is an annual U.S.-Philippine military bilateral exercise combining amphibious landing and live-fire training with humanitarian civic assistance efforts to strengthen interoperability and working relationships.
