John Olha, a USS Samuel Chase veteran, passes out citations for the Combat Action Ribbon to his fellow World War II veterans for their actions decades ago, during a reunion lunch at the Hancock Lodge, June 8. The ship's claim to fame is their part in carrying some of the first wave of troops to the D-Day invasion of Normandy, which today is still considered one of the bravest operations in American history.
