PORT AU PRINCE, Haiti (Oct. 13, 2016) Two SH-60B Seahawk helicopters with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 28, from the USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), depart Joint Task Force Matthew headquarters in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to help deliver relief supplies. After six days of supply drop operations, JTF Matthew has delivered over 349,000 pounds of supplies utilizing various aircraft to provide the much-needed airlift capability. The task force, a U.S. Southern Command-directed team comprised of Marines, soldiers, sailors and airmen, is providing critical airlift capabilities during the initial stages of the U.S. Agency for International Development's disaster relief operations in Haiti while the international response builds.
