Massachusetts will soon welcome home 130 of the state's Army National Guard Soldiers when the 211th Military Police Battalion, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, from Lexington, Mass., return from supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Soldiers were assigned an internment resettlement mission at Camp Taji, Iraq. They are now demobilizing through Army Support Activity-Dix, their last stop before returning to their home state. The battalion was presented a Welcome Home plaque during a short ceremony at Bravo Company, ASA-Dix, June 22. Receiving the plaque on behalf of the battalion was the commander, Lt. Col. Richard Johnson, at right, a resident of Lexington, and his right hand man, Sgt. Maj. Jack Owens who lives in Tewksbury, Mass.
