Socimo Gutierrez-Angulo, wireman, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Southern Command, for holding a staff non-commissioned officer billet and installing 100 feet of CAT-5E cable which provided connectivity for network users in support of Joint Task Force Matthew in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew during an award ceremony at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Nov. 4, 2016. JTF Matthew, a U.S. Southern Command-directed team, was comprised of over 400 Marines, soldiers, and airmen on the ground in Haiti supporting the U.S. Agency of International Development’s disaster relief operations by providing critical airlift capabilities during the vital early stages after the island country was struck by Hurricane Matthew.
