CAMP LIBERTY, Iraq – Paula Nord, transportation coordinator for Kellogg, Brown and Root at Forward Operating Base Scania, receives a welcome hug from her son, Sgt. Robert Soto, a multiple-launch rocket systems maintainer with the 67th Forward Support Company, 2nd Battalion, 20th Field Artillery Regiment, Fires Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, during a mission stopover at FOB Scania Sept. 3. Nord has served in Iraq since October 2003, while Soto is currently on his second tour in the region with the Fires Bde., 4th Inf. Div. Nord is an Army retiree with more than 27 years of service. Despite serving in different locations, the mother and son, originally of Chicago, try to visit each other whenever possible.
