SABAH PROVINCE, Malaysia (November 11, 2016) – Cmdr. Erin Griffith, the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit surgeon, examines a local man’s leg during a medical civil affairs project during Exercise Tiger Strike 2016 in Sabah Province, Malaysia, Nov. 11. Medical personnel from the 11th MEU and Malaysian Armed Forces teamed up with local professionals to provide basic care and treatment to civilian patients at one of the local Lahad Datu clinics. Tiger Strike 16 is a bilateral exercise between the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU and MAF designed to enhance communication and coordination, and increase combat readiness within the context of a stability and security in the region.
