Staff Sergeant Vincent Walters, drill instructor, Support Battalion, gives recruits a class on the History and Structure of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Nov. 15. The recruits test to earn a tan belt, the first level in the program, and can continue to train to earn the gray, green, brown and black belts later in their careers. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Bravo Company is scheduled to graduate Feb. 3.
