MARINE CORPS TRAINING AREA BELLOWS, Hawaii (October 18, 2016) – A Reconnaissance Marine with the Maritime Raid Force, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, guides his parachute toward a designated drop zone aboard Marine Corps Training Area Bellows, Oahu, Hawaii, as part of a sustainment training exercise conducted during the 11th MEU’s Western Pacific 16-2 deployment, Oct. 18, 2016. The MRF sustainment training in Hawaii helped maintain the proficiency necessary to conduct the two specialty missions the MRF could be called upon to execute during their deployment: reconnaissance with battle space shaping, and maritime raids.
