Lt. Gen. Thomas H. Miller Jr. is considered to be the Marine Corps’ “father of the Harrier” for being the first Marine to fly it. Also, he played a role in introducing the Harrier to the fleet as the Head of the Marine Corps Air Weapons Requirments Branch, Office of the Deputy Chief for Staff of Aviation. Today, he is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
