A reenactor explains how Soldiers would have celebrated Christmas during war times at the “Christmas at the Front” event held at the Illinois State Military Museum Dec. 10. “Christmas at the Front” is an annual event meant to educate visitors on how Soldiers celebrated Christmas during four conflicts: Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I and World War II. Living Historians told stories and Dr. Chris McDonald, Lincoln Land Community College professor of political science, provided a short talk on Soldier’s Christmas letters.
