Pfc. France Rosewood, of Haitian descent, embarked aboard the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), assists with translation and crowd control during a medical humanitarian assistance event in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. Iwo Jima is operating off the coast of Haiti supporting Continuing Promise 2010 humanitarian civic assistance mission. The assigned medical and engineering staff embarked aboard Iwo Jima will work with partner nation teams to provide medical, dental, veterinary and engineering assistance to eight different nations.
