MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII – A lei floats in Kaneohe Bay near Marine Corps Base Hawaii on Dec. 8, 2016, honoring the men and women lost during the Dec. 7, 1941 attacks on Oahu. Survivors were in Hawaii attending the 75th commemoration of the Pearl Harbor attacks. After the ceremonies, the Greatest Generations Foundation provided the survivors with a boat ride on Kaneohe Bay where the attacks also took place. The Greatest Generations Foundation is dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of veterans by returning them to their former battlegrounds, cemeteries and memorials to ensure that their legacies are recorded and retold in perpetually to future generations.
