U.S. Marines with Weapons Company, 2nd Marine Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, lead soldiers of the Armed Forces for the Defense of Mozambique through a combat marksmanship course in Moamba, Mozambique, Aug. 5. The course is part of Exercise SHARED ACCORD 2010, an annually scheduled, bi-lateral U.S.-Mozambique field training exercise aimed at conducting small unit infantry and staff training with U.S. Africa Command partner nations. The exercise is designed to increase partner nation capacity for conducting peace and stability operations. The exercise is scheduled to conclude, Aug. 13. All U.S. forces will return to their home bases in Europe and the U.S. at the end of the exercise.
