Lance Cpl. Trent Long, 23, a heavy equipment operator with Engineer Support Company, 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, places a metal post used to connect strands of concertina while fortifying Forward Operating Base Four during Enhanced Mojave Viper training. The 1st CEB will occupy FOB Four and provide direct support to infantry battalions conducting similar pre-deployment training here. Units deploying to Afghanistan are required to undergo the Marine Corps’ premiere desert warfare training called Enhanced Mojave Viper.
