Chaplain (Maj.) Angel Sanchez, Villalba, Puerto Rico, Multinational Battle Group East, reads the Gospel during a Mass celebrating the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Aug. 15 in Letnica/Letnice, Kosovo. Sanchez was one of several dozen U.S. soldiers who hiked through the Karadak hills as part of a pilgrimage to the church where Mother Teresa received her calling. The American troops who participated this year included National Guard Soldiers from Puerto Rico, Arkansas, Iowa and Connecticut, as well as Army Reserve soldiers from Georgia. They are deployed to Kosovo in support of KFOR 13.
