Sailors perform a foreign object debris walkdown on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). FOD walkdowns are performed to remove objects on the deck that can be sucked into a jet engine intake and cause severe damage to jet engine compressor blades and related components. Harry S. Truman is deployed as part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
