JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Jan. 20, 2017) – (left to right) Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Emilio Valladares, Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Daniel Anderson, and Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Joshua Crisano, all of Naval Hospital (NH) Jacksonville, set up tents aboard Naval Station Mayport in preparation for their deployment with Continuing Promise 2017 (CP-17). CP-17 is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet-conducted deployment to conduct civil-military operations including humanitarian assistance and humanitarian civic assistance, training engagements, medical, dental, and veterinary support and disaster response to partner nations and to show U.S. support and commitment to Central and South America.
