The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex employs more than 9,400 military and civilian personnel with 98 different job skills. The complex utilizes 63 buildings and 8.2M square feet of industrial floor space in support of its mission. 2017 marks the 75th Anniversary of Tinker Air Force Base, named after Maj. Gen. Clarence L. Tinker, an Oklahoma native and part Osage Indian, who lost his life while leading a group of LB-30 bombers on a mission against the Japanese in the region of Wake Island on June 7, 1942.
