Senior leaders from across Marine Forces Reserve participate in “Poker Power” during the Senior Leadership Workshop at Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans, Feb. 23-26, 2017. The exercise stacks the deck to give a certain demographic of students an unfair advantage, serving as an example for privilege based on things like race or gender. The workshop aims to open communication about the importance of equal opportunity issues such as discrimination, power, gender, ethnicity, sexism, diversity, leadership influence and more. Throughout the course the leaders discussed how these issues can affect unit cohesion, mission accomplishment and mission readiness. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Sara Graham)
