Col. Patrick T. Stackpole, brigade commander, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, attaches the division's signature lightning bolt and taro leaf combat patch to the right sleeve of 1st Sgt. Frank Wallace, Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2nd Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment, during a combat patch ceremony at Forward Operating Base Warrior, Kirkuk, Iraq, Oct. 13. The combat patch is awarded to Soldiers serving in a combat zone for more than 30 days.
