The Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center is one of the Marine Corps' most secluded posts, comprised of approximately 46,000 acres of terrain with elevations ranging from 5,000 to 11,000 feet. 1st Combat Engineer Battalion (CEB) conducted scenario-driven training that encompassed mobility, counter-mobility and survivability operations in a mountainous, snow-covered enironment that challenged 1st CEB to generate combat engineering solutions to infantry driven tasks. Marines from 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logisitics Group, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment and 1st Reconnaissance Battalion also accompanied 1st CEB for this iteration of Mountain Training Exercise 2-17.
