170307-N-AC117-064 YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 7, 2017) Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Jeffery Judd, from El Sabrante, California, simulates using a 14 ¾ gauge needle and catheter to decompress a chest cavity during a tactical combat care course aboard the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76)., Sixteen Sailors attended the course, which teaches Sailors how to treat patients in a combat environment. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
