CAMP LIBERTY, Iraq – Spc. O'Neil Gaynor, a welder with the 16th Engineer Brigade's Headquarters Support Company, 62nd Engineer Battalion, and a native of Miami, Fla., focuses his attention and torch on the final preparation of a scraper before welding on new armor at the brigade's Add-on-Armor site. Gaynor works as part of the 12-member crew who run Iraq's only Soldier-operated Add-on-Armor installation site. Since Aug. 1, the Soldiers have out-produced the three civilian sites, saved lives, time and money by installing new armor kits on multiple pieces of engineer equipment in-theater, including scrapers, graders, dozers and bucket loaders.
