Dustin Cox (left), a material handler, explains how Crane Army's Depot Operations has been exploring the use of tablets in its ammunition logistical operations to Brig. Gen. Richard B. Dix, commanding general, Joint Munitions Command, during his visit to Crane Army Ammunition Activity, Indiana. The tablets could potentially reduce travel time of field crews, reduce paperwork and create greater visibility of information across the entire directorate. Dix, who previously visited CAAA in June when the Secretary of Defense visited the installation, saw more of Crane Army’s current capabilities to efficiently deliver ammunition to the Warfighter and what the command is doing to improve its processes, workforce and facilities to deliver long-term readiness in the future.
