Sgt. Joshua Shoda, an explosive ordnance disposal technician for 1st EOD Company, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), recites the Oath of Enlistment during a reenlistment ceremony aboard Forward Operating Base Jackson in Sangin, Afghanistan, Sept. 18. Shoda, 26, from Columbia City, Ind., has been attached to Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division (Forward), since deploying to Afghanistan in April in support of the International Security Assistance Force. Since arriving in country, he has prosecuted countless improvised explosive devices, saving the lives of his fellow Marines.
