Cpl. Jordan Shemanski, an air delivery specialist with Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), 23, from Detroit, tightens a strap on a container delivery system at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, Sept. 8. Container delivery systems are supplies bundled and rigged to a parachute and later dropped from an aircraft to Marines at forward operating bases. Since arriving in Afghanistan in March, the Marines have air delivered more than 1.2 million pounds of supplies.
