The 18th Field Artillery Brigade conducted a field training exercise, March 13-17. Steel Soldiers conducted a night live fire, a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HiMARS) ammunition sling load with the 2-135th Ground Support Aviation Battalion of the Colorado Army National Guard, and executed fire missions throughout the Fort Bragg training area to validate the brigade's capabilities to execute effective mission command and sustainment operations. The brigade, using the Atropian Warfighter scenario, was externally evaluated by members of one of its Army Total Force partners, the 138th Field Artillery Brigade of the Kentucky Army National Guard, the 82nd Airborne Division Artillery, and the the 528th Sustainment Brigade, Special Operations (Airborne).
