U.S. Soldiers from Company B, 1st Battalion, 68th Armored Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, out of Fort Carson, Colo., hold their position in an M1A1 Abrams as a part of a combined exercise “Savage Wolf” with their Lithuanian counterparts as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, April 4. The U.S. and Lithuanian Soldiers are split into two integrated teams and are given either an offensive role in taking an ‘airfield’ or defensive role to keep their position on the ‘airfield’. The U.S. and our Allies and partners are making strides toward interoperability by continuously training together and implementing innovative solutions to common problems. Operation Atlantic Resolve is a U.S. led effort in Eastern Europe that demonstrates U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region.
