Spc. Joshua Lansink, Company D, 1st Battalion, 168th Infantry, of Denison, Iowa, camouflages himself and his gear during the patrol lane portion of the U.S. Army’s Expert Infantry Badge (EIB) testing phase at Camp Blanding in Starke, Fla. Iowa Army National Guard Soldiers with the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, and Minnesota Army National Guard Soldiers with the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division – each sporting the 34th Infantry Division Red Bull patch – traveled to Florida to participate in more than 30 rigorous events in pursuit of the prestigious EIB. Patrol lanes, on day four of the five-day event, tested candidates on Soldier skills often used during combat, including movement under fire, camouflaging and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear defenses.
