MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Cpl. Melany Erne, a combat engineer with the Combat Logistics Battalion 15, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit familiarize Marines with the different sounds from the mine sweeper stick during a combat mine demolition course part of PHIBRON-MEU integration training at Camp Pendleton, April 7, 2017. Cross-training between Marines from different Military Occupational Specialties within the battalion makes a more capable and well-rounded unit in combat. PMINT is a two-week exercise in which the Navy and the Marine Corps utilize their amphibious and ground capabilities and work together to enhance interoperability for deployment.
