MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Cpl. Kegan Maxwell a light armored vehicle operator with the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Lance Cpl. Vincent Cortina a combat engineer with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, 15th MEU, refill a light armored vehicle during PHIBRON-MEU integration training at Camp Pendleton, April 8, 2017. This first at-sea exercise provides the Marines the opportunity to practice integrating with their Navy counterparts to form an efficient team capable of accomplishing a range of missions around the globe. This Navy-Marine Corps team supports combatant commanders in maintaining regional maritime security and stability while providing offshore options to deter influence and win in an era of uncertainty.
