U.S. Army Spc. Timothy Sly Jr., of Chariton, Iowa, a military policeman with the Iowa National Guard's 734th Agribusiness Development Team, participates in the Army Ten-Miler shadow run, an annual 10-mile run or march hosted by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington, at Forward Operating Base Wright in Kunar province, Oct. 22. The event at FOB Wright was a shadow Ten-Miler, in which 35 U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force service members participated in lieu of attending the Army Ten-Miler, which took place in Washington, D.C., the same day.
