    26th Marine Expeditionary Unit     

    Staff Sgt. Justin Westmoreland, the engineer chief for Engineer Detachment, Combat Logistics Battalion 26, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepares to take Doxycycline, medication taken to prevent Malaria, aboard USS Ponce, Oct. 22. The cyclic disease Malaria is spread through insects and can be contracted easily if Marines are not protected. The 26th MEU is currently embarked aboard the ships of Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group operating in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
