Lance Cpl. Josh Czerepka, 22, a combat engineer from Orlando, Fla., waits for the dust to clear while filling a Hesco barrier at a small combat outpost in Musa Qal’eh, Nov. 4. Due to enemy activity in the area, engineers with 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division (Forward), were called in to fortify defensive positions manned by 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment. Marines of 1st CEB provide direct support to 1/8 in the Musa Qal’eh district.
