Felder Domond, a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, speaks with Guillet Salvador, mayor of Port-de-Paix, Haiti, left, and other key leaders of Haiti talk before the opening of the Friendship Ceremony in Port-de-Paix, Aug. 2. Domond served as a Creole translator for the USS Iwo Jima leaders and key leaders of Haiti. Marines and Sailors of the USS Iwo Jima spent ten days in Haiti as their first stop during their four-month deployment to the Caribbean, Central and South America.
