    DAHLGREN, Va. (May 17, 2017) – Stephen Malyevac holds a framed certificate moments after receiving the Navy Superior Civilian Service Award at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Annual Honor Awards ceremony. Malyevac was recognized for numerous technical and leadership contributions as the NSWCDD Distinguished Engineer for Surface Engagement. “His accomplishments as a nationally recognized expert in guidance and control, missile systems, guided projectiles, and surface weapon systems have played a critical role in establishing Dahlgren Division’s reputation as a center of excellence for weapon system engineering and integration,” according to the citation. “Mr. Malyevac’s leadership on numerous high profile technical efforts has resulted in the successful fielding of many of the technologies and capabilities that form the foundation of our surface fleet today.” Standing left to right: Combat Direction Systems Activity Commanding Officer Cmdr.
