Col. Megan Tatu, commander of the 164th Corps Support Group, Army Reserve unit based in Mesa, Ariz., and Col. Christina Gayagas, deputy commander for the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), personally thank three Iraqi men who helped them plant the first olive trees on Anaconda by both countries during an olive tree planting ceremony with Iraqi civilians and American Soldiers on Dec. 23 on Logistical Support Area Anaconda, near Balad, Iraq. The 164th, which is currently assigned to the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), received 164 olive trees from Burchell Nursery in Oakdale, Calif. Federal Express shipped the olive trees for free to the Soldiers who will spend Christmas even planting the trees around Anaconda.
