Capt. Roxanne Tamez relieved Capt. Timothy J. Wendt as commander of Coast Guard Sector Lower Mississippi River in an official change-of- command ceremony, June 14, 2017. Wendt assumed command of Sector Lower Mississippi River in June 2014, and will become the chief, response division, at the Coast Guard’s 9th District in Cleveland, Ohio.
