Chief Warrant Officer 3 Herminio Romero, a project supervisor with the 448th Engineer Battalion from Puerto Rico, points out the trusses being put in place at a construction site in Ladyville Belize, to Lance Cpl. Peter Alfonso of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment May 1, 2017 during Beyond the Horizon 2017. In 1995, Romero along with other Soldiers from the 448th helped to build the Belize Rural High School in Double Head Cabbage that sits next to a current BTH 2017 construction project. BTH 2017 is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored, Army South-led exercise designed to provide humanitarian and engineering services to communities in need, demonstrating U.S. support for Belize.
