The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, welcomed a team of employees from the Corps’ Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting - Dallas Office, Dec. 13-17, to conduct a procurement management review of the district’s Contracting Office. The purpose of the review was to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of contracting operations and to determine compliance with applicable procurement laws, regulations and policies. The team, which was comprised of Corps personnel from around the nation, convened to review approximately 37 contracts, including self assessments, questionnaires and management controls. A report of the findings will be conducted in order to ensure the district continues to provide excellence in all its contracting operations.
