Cpl. Ernesto Bottoms, a heavy equipment operator with Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), uses a skid-loader to level the ground at Patrol Base Taalanda Dec. 22. Five Marines from the squadron visited the patrol base to improve the helicopter landing zone. Improvements included reducing brown out conditions, making the area more discernable from its surroundings and leveling the ground.
